PROJECTS

EDUCATION

Under ECAFUg's Education programming component, we are focused on providing opportunities for Kampala's slum children to access good-quality, formal education. ECAFUg Educational Sector Bwaise is designed to provide sponsorships to decent education to orphans and other vulnerable children, including those affected and infected by HIV/AIDS as we are yet to establish a school of our own in the near future.

Through the committed team at  ECAFUg, we have been able to fundraise for the rebuild of a community Skilling school in Bwaise. We have rented land on which the school is established and we also have ready  classes of Computer lessons, Sewing, Motor Mechanics. We have managed to enroll a number of people to benefit from this project and also have access to quality skilling  in a safe space. However, there is need to expand thisproject to enable children have access to education. Reach us to be part of this noble cause.

HEALTH PROGRAM

Slum communities have been hubs of diseases caused by poor sanitation, limited access to sexual and reproductive health and moral decay. This programme has been set up in response to the glaring health-related challenges young people are confronted with regarding their sexuality. It's a programme designed to ensure that young people access sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and care services, including family planning and education. The programme promotes better health and tries to make sure that policy makers and other partners are responsive to the unique health needs of young people living in Kampala's poorest slums.
