We believe in ethical volunteering abroad; a mutually enjoyable and constructive experience for the volunteer and the local community. We also believe Uganda should be up there with the top tourist destinations worldwide; with so much to offer from diverse ecosystems, to mountain gorillas to white water rafting on the river Nile! Experiencing Uganda with us is to take an insight into the unknown world of Bwaise and see for yourself the why we call Uganda the pearl of Africa!

We look to partner professional people with skills and know-how, in any field, with locals on the ground with a desire for development. We then plan a personalised, structured program of sharing expertise and knowledge during volunteering before enjoying all that Uganda has to offer. We are transparent with all costings and ensure that part of the costs of your experience go directly to funding ECAFUg’s well planned sustainable projects, empowering more young people in Bwaise.

You may be a teacher who can work with the professional development of our teachers at Excel and in return our teachers can share ideas in the classroom and different methods of pedagogy with you. You may be a whizz at social media and can strategize with ECAFUg and online marketing campaign and in exchange learn how marketing works in Uganda. Whatever your skillset, we aim to expand the thinking, of both our professionals volunteering and our local participants, working together for a mutually rewarding and long lasting experience
